Just making sure you know about Annual Coastal Beach Cleanup, this Saturday morning, 9/20 from 9-12. Please plan to come out and tell all of your friends, family, coworkers and neighbors! This is truly a special day. Annual Beach Cleanup is a Worldwide event – over 70 countries are participating in cleaning up their coast lines on the same day!

Heal the Bay has organized 70 sites, and I am the Site Captain for the Santa Monica, Ocean Park Site at Lifeguard Station #27. HEAL THE BAY IS LOOKING TO SET A RECORD IN PARTICIPATION THIS YEAR. Here are the important things to know: - My Station will be located right at the bike path, on the sand, immediately in front of Lifeguard Station #27, which is just south of Ocean Park Blvd. - Parking: you can park at the beach lot. Let the attendant know you are volunteering for Beach Cleanup.You can also print the attached letter and bring it with you to show the attendant. - Bring a hat and sunscreen and bottled water (preferably in polypropelene or aluminum so you don’t leave a footprint).
