The Santa Monica Co-opportunity, Santa Monica's Co-operative Natural Grocer is holding it's Annual Meeting in conjunction with a Picnic, this Sunday, October 19th from 3:30 to 6pm. This should be a really great event, to be held at the clock tower area of Santa Monica College (the clock tower area is easily accessible from Pearl Street.) Parking in the college lot will be free! Expect a fairly mundane presentation of the Annual Report. But there will also be live entertainment, games & prizes, free massages (I'm there!), kids activities, and free food and refreshments (did I hear FREE?) Directions to the event: When you walk into the college toward the Counseling building, the clock tower area is just past the Counseling building. There will be signs posted. If you plan to go, simply rsvp to membership@coopportunity.com. They really want to know who and how many are coming. And If you RSVP by October 17th, you'll be entered in a drawing for a $100 Co-op Gift Card! You might also want to check out the Co-op's website for cooking classes!
