Venice Beach Rides for the Community...Just Around the Corner

Venice Beach Rides - Dana Ehrlich Sorry for the short notice. I just found out about this myself. But it sounded so fun, I had to let my World know about it.

It's the First Annual Venice Beach Rides for the Community --- Classic & Eco Car, Truck, Motorcycle and Bicycle Showcase. Get this...they're closing down Rose Avenue -- a major thoroughfare for beachgoers ---for 6 blocks, from Lincoln to 6th Ave. This was all Oscar's idea. Oscar is the owner of Venice Beach Wines.

He is the consummate entrepreneur, and I love him to death. Oscar put his event planning experience to work, gathered sponsors like Whole Foods Market & Al & Ed's Autosound and created a MASSIVE fundraiser to benefit Venice Community Housing Corporation.

Yeah...it's happening TOMORROW, Saturday July 18 from 10-4.

There's going to be live music and food, and ALL the proceeds will go to VCHC, which provides affordable housing, after school programs, and services for low income or homeless youth and adults.

If you have a car, truck, motorcycle, or bicycle that you want to enter, the entry fee is $20-30. Awards will be presented!!! If you just want to spectate, entry is FREE to the public, but donations are encouraged.

Great cause, eh? See you there?

Cheers!
